We were recently tasked with building a budget games machine for £700. A Tough task given the current price of decent graphics cards and we had to inclue a flat screen in the price.
It has to be said that we struggled a bit with the budget and finally the completed machine came in at £760. The monitor is refurbished to save on costs and anything we could safely leave out we did.

The Final Spec was .. EZ Cool Silverstone Case, K7N2 Delta MB, AMD Sempron 3000+ Chip, Radeon 9600 Pro, 512 meg Kingston 3200 Ram, Samsung DVD combo Drive, 550 watt PSU (glowing). Dell refurb 17" TFT. M'soft Cordless Keyboard and Mouse. Wireless Lan card. AC97 5.1 Surround Audio.
After some testing we will post up the bench marks. Time was spent rather than money on hardware to strip the O/S down for games performance.
